Bollywood-style theme park in Gurgaon offers tourists an authentic taste of India.

Kingdom of Dreams is an arresting new Bollywood-based theme park in Gurgaon, in the northern Indian state of Haryana. The live entertainment complex sprawls over 9 acres and offers an array of cultural, artistic and gastronomic pursuits to both domestic and international tourists. Costing approximately $43m, the lavish design has been intimately scrutinised with intricate architectural detailing visible across the entire park.

The complex is split into four main areas: Culture Gully, Showshaa Theatre, Nautanki Mahal and IIFA Buzz Cafe. Culture Gully is a vibrant blend of elements from 14 states of India from Sikkim to Delhi, West Bengal to Kashmir. Visitors can enjoy a massage from the beaches of Goa, the retail delights of Mumbai and an authentic variety of beverages at the Assam Tea House. An air-conditioned enclosed boulevard, Culture Gully has been created to resemble a food plaza and craft bazaar, complete with street performances. The street’s imposing facade has been created by artistic set designer Omung Kumar, of Saawariya and Jhankaar Beats fame, and is almost other-worldly in its ethereal appearance.

Showcasing ‘new and untapped talents’, Showshaa Theatre hosts a kaleidoscope of Bollywood entertainment, including the ‘Great Indian Talent Circus’ and ‘My Big Fat Indian Wedding’ in a dome-shaped amphitheatre. The extravagant displays of domestic talent are designed to animate and inspire tourists and locals alike. IIFA Buzz Cafe/Lounge is a glamorous Bollywood-themed cuisine specialist, whose red velvet interior offers a wide variety of Indian delicacies in a sumptuous setting. Dramatic elements are added to the experience with props, music, thematic decor and special effects. Last but by no means least is Nautanki Mahal – India’s first state-of-the-art 4D theatre venue, combining Indian culture with Bollywood-style entertainment in a ‘world-class’ setting.

Viraf Sarkari, Director of Wizcraft International Entertainment said: “Kingdom of Dreams will offer an experience that has never been experienced in our subcontinent before. This is a milestone in the history of India’s entertainment industry and will leave Indians and foreign visitors completely spellbound. We are immensely proud to have been involved in the creation of something so beautiful that brings alive the richness and opulence of India’s cultural heritage.”

Kingdom of Dreams – the dreamchild of The Great Indian Nautanki Company and a joint venture between Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Apra Group of Companies – fuses art, culture, heritage, crafts, cuisine and performing arts in somewhat breathtaking architectural surroundings.
