JMP shortlisted in two categories for 2011 Architect of the Year Awards

John McAslan + Partners (JMP) has been shortlisted in both education categories for the 2011 Architect of the Year Awards (AYA), for its work spanning from Nursery to University education.

John McAslan + Partners extended its portfolio of education projects this year with the completion of the RSA Academy in Tipton, West Midlands and the Charles Carter Building at Lancaster University, where the practice has been working for the last six years.

The AYA judging will be conducted in October by a jury of architects, clients and built environment experts including: Waheed Nazir, director of regeneration at Birmingham Council; Liz Peace, Chief Executive of the British Property Federation; and Bridget Sawyers, Chief Executive of the Architecture Centre Network.

John McAslan will be judging the Young Architect of the Year Award this year alongside a jury which includes Peter St John, the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Moira Gemmill and Julian Barwick of Development Securities.

Award winners will be announced on November 15th at a ceremony at the Brewery in the City of London.
