The Trutnov’s UFFO has won The Building of the Year 2011 Award
The Trutnov’s Community Centre for Culture and Leisure UFFO has won a major award. Along with four other buildings it has been proclaimed The Building of the Year 2011 by the jury consisting of renowned architects.
UFFO succeeded in a competition of 42 other buildings. The award ceremony was held yesterday as a part of the Prague’s Days of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Among the awarded buildings are the Southwestern part of the Prague Circuit, Golf Club “Čertovo břemeno”, swimming pool in Litomyšl, and the University campus of Masaryk University in Brno.
The Trutnov’s Community Centre for Culture and Leisure is one of the most modern cultural spaces in the Czech Republic. Since September 2010, when it was inaugurated, plays host to classic and alternative theater performances, concerts of a wide range of genre, balls, congresses and other cultural and social events.
