The meeting of an innovative product and a growing need gives rise to a Win-Win Public-Private Partnership.
The Atelier de l’Avenir in partnership with the town of Saint-Georges-sur-Meuse has built two scalable houses on land in the town.
The houses built have high thermal and acoustic performance. By combining a level of thermal insulation to reach “low energy” housing and the production of electricity via an installation of photovoltaic panels, the primary energy requirements are very reduced. By starting a one-bedroom house, a young couple can become a homeowner for the price of rent!
In the specific case of the smallest house in Saint-Georges, a level of thermal insulation K28 is reached.
A monthly payment of around € 900 covers the acquisition and the coverage of heating and electricity needs. And for future enlargements, the bill is also reduced by recovering and moving standardized modules.
L’Atelier de l’Avenir was created by the ASBL Ateliers du Monceau, whose social purpose is the supervision, information and first and foremost work of deaf and hard of hearing people, with a view to providing them with gainful employment and independent living.
The ASBL Ateliers du Monceau is the first European company created especially for deaf and hard of hearing people. L’Atelier de l’Avenir is a social enterprise geared towards and for people with respect and ethics. It realizes constructive systems in wooden frame and designs scalable, durable and economical houses.
CIMEDE system is completely modular construction system offers high performance in terms of insulation, both thermal and acoustic.
Scalability, initially limited to the interior of a building, has been extended and can now extend to the exterior of the building.
Imagine a house that evolves with you over time, that adapts to your needs at a specific time, that is ecological, local and sustainable … CIMEDE is all that!
After purchasing the land, he can build a small house that meets his real needs. He can quickly occupy his house and avoid paying double rent. Thanks to the performance, the loads will be reduced. This allows the owner (s) to save for possible future extensions.
The elements initially built can be moved and repositioned as needed. While respecting the environment, the CIMEDE system allows rapid access to high-quality, quality housing while preserving the possibilities of developing the building as needed.
One of the goals is to allow new prospective buyers, especially young couples, to own homes that will gradually adapt to their needs at a competitive price while maintaining a level of quality, finish and optimized comfort.
